LVDS to eDP Industrial LCD Conversion Checklist
LVDS and eDP are different interface systems. A same-size panel or similar connector does not demonstrate a safe conversion or replacement.
Before selecting a candidate
- Confirm the installed panel part number, suffix, host controller and current technical documentation.
- Compare signaling, lane configuration, pinout, voltage rails, timing, backlight control and cable requirements.
- Compare outline, active area, mounting, connector position, thermal target and optical performance.
- Define sample validation, firmware review and change-control responsibility before production use.
Compatibility boundary
Do not represent a candidate as a drop-in replacement unless electrical, mechanical and optical validation is complete in the finished equipment.
