RGB TTL LCD Interface and Selection Guide

RGB TTL is a parallel digital display interface commonly found on compact embedded LCD modules. Separate color-data, clock and synchronization signals connect the host controller to the panel.

Signals to verify

Confirm color-bit depth, pixel clock, horizontal and vertical synchronization, data-enable behavior, logic voltage, pin assignment and connector orientation. Similar connectors do not guarantee compatible signals.

Controller compatibility

The processor or controller board must output the required native timing and voltage. Cable length, signal integrity and grounding should be reviewed during hardware design.

When RGB TTL is useful

RGB TTL can suit compact HMI, handheld equipment, instruments and embedded controllers where a direct parallel interface is available.
