Automotive Industrial LCD Display Selection Guide
This engineering and procurement guide separates ordinary industrial-panel fit from documented automotive qualification and helps teams define a complete display requirement.
Reference specifications and selection baseline
| Use case definition | Cluster, center display, rear-seat display, commercial vehicle, charger or service terminal |
|---|---|
| Optical target | Day/night brightness, reflection control, viewing angle, cover lens and optical bonding |
| Electrical target | Interface, voltage, timing, dimming, touch controller, connector and EMC requirements |
| Environmental target | Operating/storage temperature, vibration, shock, humidity and UV exposure |
| Mechanical target | Outline, active area, mounting, depth, bezel, cable path and touch stack |
| Supply target | Qualification evidence, revision control, traceability, lifecycle and annual demand |
Compatibility and qualification limits
A panel fitting the aperture may still fail optical, EMC, thermal, vibration, touch, lifecycle or qualification requirements. Do not infer automotive grade from marketing wording alone.
Purchasing recommendation
Create one controlled requirement sheet and compare candidate models against every field. Request documents, samples and a qualification plan before committing to production volume.
Data source and editorial review
