5.6-inch vs 7-inch RGB LCD Size and Interface Selection
Diagonal size and a 40-pin connector describe only part of a compact LCD. Equipment fit depends on active area, outline, FPC direction, pin map, voltage, timing, backlight and environmental requirements.

Compatibility limits and qualification risk
A 40-pin connector does not make 5.6-inch and 7-inch panels electrically interchangeable. Resolution, timing, pin map, voltage, outline and active area can all require redesign.
Purchasing recommendation
Send the current panel label, available installation space, active-area requirement, controller output, cable direction, brightness, temperature, quantity and delivery target.
