Difference between semi transparent and full transparent polarizers

  Polarizer is an optical material commonly used in liquid crystal displays. It can adjust the polarization angle of light to make the screen present different colors and brightness.

  Both semi transparent and full transparent are types of polarizers, and the main difference between them is the transmittance of light after it passes through the polarizer.

  A semi transparent polarizer is a polarizer that transmits partial light. When light passes through a semi transparent sheet, only part of the light is transmitted, while the other part is reflected or absorbed. Therefore, the semi transparent film is suitable for application scenarios that require simultaneous display of images and reflective surfaces (such as vehicle navigators, mobile phone screens, etc.). In these scenarios, users can reduce reflections and improve screen brightness by adjusting the viewing angle.

  A transparent polarizer is a polarizer that can completely transmit all light. A full transparency film is typically placed at the bottom or top of an LCD display to convert the polarization direction of light, resulting in better brightness and contrast.

  In general, semi transparent films are mainly suitable for applications that need to reduce reflection and improve screen brightness, while full transparent films are mainly suitable for applications that need to improve the brightness and contrast of the display.

  Polarizers are also used in liquid crystal screens, and their types and functions are basically the same as those of ordinary polarizers.

  The difference between semi transparent and full transparent films in LCD screens is mainly reflected in their position and function.

  Semitransparent films are usually placed on the top of LCD screens to reduce the reflection of ambient light and improve the brightness and contrast of the image. Semitransparent films can only allow light from a specific direction to pass through, thereby preventing light from different angles from interfering with the content on the screen, making the display effect clearer.

  The full transparency film is usually placed between the backlight and the LCD layer of the LCD screen to adjust the polarization direction of the light. By controlling the angle between the polarization direction of the full transparency film and the polarization direction of the LCD layer, the brightness and color of the LCD screen can be adjusted.

  In general, both semi transparent and full transparent films play an important role in liquid crystal displays. They optimize the display effect of liquid crystal displays by adjusting the transmission and polarization of light in different ways.
