AUO G070VTN01.0 7-inch WVGA LVDS TFT-LCD
AUO G070VTN01.0 is a 7.0-inch 800 x 480 TFT-LCD module with a one-channel LVDS display interface and a separate white LED backlight connection. AUO final specification rev. 1.0 lists 300 cd/m2 typical brightness, 500:1 typical contrast and selectable 6-bit or 8-bit LVDS color input.
The module operates from a 3.3 V typical panel supply and has a specified operating temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees C. Its backlight requires a separate constant-current drive. Confirm current production and stock status for the exact model and revision before placing an order.
Model and lifecycle check: The reviewed AUO document is dated December 2, 2013 and establishes historical technical specifications, not current production or a lifetime supply commitment. Ask for current manufacturer or supplier confirmation before keeping an “In Production” claim on this page.

LVDS Configuration and LED Power
- Signal connector: AUO lists Hirose DF19LA-20P-1H or compatible for the 20-pin panel connector and Hirose DF19-20S-1C or compatible as the mating connector.
- Color-depth selection: SEL68 high or unconnected selects 6-bit LVDS; low selects 8-bit LVDS. In 6-bit mode, signal pins 19 and 20 must be left floating according to rev. 1.0. Verify this setting against the host-board design.
- Scan direction: pin 4 LR low or unconnected gives normal horizontal scan; high selects horizontal reverse scan. Pin 3 is ground in this revision, not a vertical scan control.
- Backlight: the separate two-pin LED connector carries VLED and GNDLED. AUO suggests 140 mA constant-current drive for the 21-LED light bar. An external LED driver is required; do not connect the light bar directly to the panel's 3.3 V supply.
- Power sequence: keep interface signals low or high-impedance when VDD is off, and follow AUO's specified order for panel power, LVDS data and backlight.
Backlight-life definition: The stated 30,000-hour minimum is measured until LED brightness falls to 50% of its initial value at 25 degrees C and 140 mA. It is not a finished-equipment lifetime guarantee. Driving at higher current or voltage can reduce LED life.
Integration and Replacement Checklist
- Confirm the full rear-label model and approved specification revision.
- Compare the 170.0 x 111.0 x 8.0 mm outline, active area, mounting points and connector locations.
- Check the 20-pin LVDS pinout, SEL68 polarity, floating pins in 6-bit mode and horizontal scan control.
- Provide separate 3.3 V panel power and a suitable 140 mA constant-current backlight driver.
- Validate timing, brightness, viewing direction, temperature performance and power sequencing in the final equipment.
Does G070VTN01.0 use RGB or LVDS?The external display interface is one-channel LVDS. The RGB data is carried through LVDS encoding rather than a parallel RGB connector.
Does the module include an LED driver? The reviewed specification describes a separate two-pin LED light-bar connection and recommends constant-current drive. The host system must provide a suitable external driver.
Is the model still in production? The 2013 specification does not establish its current lifecycle. Confirm production status and available stock for the exact model with the supplier before ordering.
