How to select a 15.6-inch AUO LCD panel
AUO 15.6-inch panels cover several electrical and optical configurations. Start with resolution and interface, then verify brightness, viewing technology, operating range, outline, connector position, mounting and lifecycle. Panels with the same diagonal are not automatically interchangeable.
Resolution and interface choices
- FHD 1920 × 1080: suitable for detailed HMI, imaging and visualization; available in both LVDS and eDP families.
- WXGA 1366 × 768: common in embedded and legacy systems; controller timing and cable design must match the exact model.
- LVDS: verify channel count, bit depth, pin map and panel voltage.
- eDP: verify lane count, link rate, connector pinout, AUX channel, backlight control and power sequence.
Recommended engineering workflow
- Choose FHD or WXGA from the native host resolution.
- Match LVDS or eDP to the controller; do not convert interfaces without system validation.
- Compare active area, outline, depth, mounting and connector location.
- Check luminance, viewing angle, backlight life and operating temperature.
- Confirm the complete suffix, current supply status and required documents before approval.
